How a fast-growing Lloyd's of London insurance broker selected Opzaro to bring visibility, control and auditability to its worldwide operations.
Operating worldwide today, up from around 80 in 2019.
Opzaro is being rolled out as one operational framework across every territory.
The starting point for the growth this transformation programme is built to support.
Phased implementation beginning in Product Operations, then expanding org-wide.
"I would like to utilise Opzaro as our framework for future workflow. We've evaluated the product and capabilities against peers and are of the view this is the superior product."
— Chief Operating Officer
The customer is a rapidly growing multinational insurance broker headquartered in the City of London, with approximately 400 employees operating worldwide. Since 2019, it has grown from around 80 employees and circa £10 million in turnover, while continuing to provide corporate clients with access to insurance and reinsurance markets across the globe.
In a regulated insurance environment, dependable and auditable processes are essential. As the business expanded, maintaining consistent control across teams, systems and territories became increasingly important.
Fragmented processes and islands of data meant teams were often required to re-key information between systems, operational visibility was limited, and there was no clear framework for introducing AI safely with appropriate human oversight.
Inconsistent or informal workflows increased the potential for errors and omissions (E&O).
Further growth risked requiring a corresponding increase in headcount.
Separate systems created duplication, hand-offs and avoidable manual work.
The business faced investor pressure to adopt AI but lacked a controlled, visible way to do so.
One practical example: claims arriving by email rather than entering a defined process. An email could potentially remain unactioned, exposing the broker to delay, service failure and a future direct claim.
The broker conducted a structured evaluation of Opzaro against established workflow platforms Camunda, ProcessMaker and FlowForma, as well as a solution developed internally using Microsoft Power Automate. Opzaro was selected because it combined simplicity and accessibility with the power needed for a complex global organisation — with particular weight given to complete visibility of the underlying integration logic and the way AI is used, allowing automation to be understood, governed and audited rather than hidden inside a black box.
Easier for operational teams to understand and use.
Capable of supporting bespoke, business-critical processes.
Transparent integration logic and AI usage, with human oversight throughout.
Opzaro will provide the process-control and document-signing foundation for a global transformation programme, supported by ongoing professional services. Every workflow is being designed around the broker's own proprietary processes, rather than forcing teams into a generic operating model.
The programme begins here — the function closest to the claims-by-email risk and other operational exposure described above.
From there, Opzaro extends into IT, HR and general office administration.
Creating a single framework for workflow, control and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Implementation is just beginning. As it progresses, Opzaro is expected to deliver a connected operational environment in which work can be seen, measured and improved.
Give leaders oversight of tasks, ownership, progress and exceptions.
Make processes consistent, traceable and easier to evidence.
Embed knowledge and control into the process rather than relying on individuals.
AI used inside governed workflows, with clear human oversight.
Systems connected through APIs, reducing double-keying between islands of data.
Team leaders lead, while process analytics expose bottlenecks and weaknesses.
For this broker, Opzaro is more than a workflow tool — it's intended to become the operational framework for scaling a fast-growing, regulated global business, supporting stronger quality control, lower operational risk, and a practical route to responsible AI adoption.
Regulated, global, growing fast — or none of the above. We'll show you a real process running in Opzaro, not just slides.
